We have seen this example previously. There I included a lot of loops to handle user input and the main logic… Now it is time to refactor the application to use functions. This should make the code readable and we could re-use parts later.

When should we use Row level DML triggers
A trigger is like a stored procedure that Oracle Database invokes automatically whenever a specified event occurs. Row level DML triggers are invoked for every row the specified DML statement touches (insert/update/delete). Since the database has to execute the trigger’s execution block in addition to the DML that invoked the trigger, by creating a trigger we… Continue reading
Hadoop vs RDBMS : Which one suits your needs?
The tech growth in the last decade has been so great that the things once considered inconceivable are now mainstream and the tasks too difficult that required a special skill set can now be completed by almost anyone. In the midst of it all, huge volumes of data are being produced every day, and, as… Continue reading
Python function
Now we have learned the basics of Python programming: variables, collections and loops. If you have followed the examples and the tutorial you might feel that sometimes we use too much code and it can be leveraged a bit. But maybe you do not know how to do it. Most of the time the solution… Continue reading
Python 3 : Guess the number
Now let’s write a script which implements a basic “Guess the number” game. The rules of the game are:
Python loops
Python Loop allows to loop through the program code and repeat blocks of code until a given condition is fulfilled or not fulfilled. The code which is repeated is called the loop’s body. Python has two types of loops: the for loop and the while loop.
Python 3 conditional statements
Decision making with conditionals After this vast amount of introductory articles with the basic types of variables in Python 3, it is time to go on and introduce conditional operators which help us create an application flow based on different conditions at runtime.
Python dictionary
In the Previous article, we talked about Python List. Here I will tell you more about the Python dictionary. Dictionaries are the key-value stores in Python. They enable a fast access to elements because of the hash-table like implementation and that the keys have to be unique. Keys and values are separated by a colon… Continue reading
Python 3 set
In Previous article we talked about Python List. But what is Python 3 Set? A set is an unordered collection of unique items. Unordered means that this type of collection does not allow indexing and you cannot access their elements through an index like in the case of a list or a tuple.
Python list
We already know that a python list can be written as comma-separated values between square brackets and the elements don’t have to be from the same type. Naturally this latter can cause some confusion and errors if you tend to forget about this feature.
